Ponds for amphibians

To extend refuge and reproduction areas for amphibians and rare water plants
Biodiversity in a pond?
The action consists in creating a collections of water of 10-20 square meters and deep approximately half meter, that are suitable for the reproduction of amphibians that have a low dispertion capacity, but also of other species like dragonflies of community interest and inserted in the provincial red list. All of this will guarantee a better connective functionality of the territory.

The main objective is to improve the conservation status of amphibian populations, in particular of the yellow-bellied toad and the Italian tree frog, that show their sufferance through regressive phenomena, especially due to the lack of reproductive sites. This goal can be reached by incrementing the number and quality of potential reproductive sites and mitigating the impact of ecological barriers (roads).
