Monitoring and management of the macrophytes

The monitoring requires the study of the macrophytes proliferation phenomena (that are aquatic plants and not seaweeds!) in the lakes of the Network of Nature Reserves (Lake Cei and Lake Terlago)  in order to better define management strategies for these plants that are necessary to reach an ecologic equilibrium in the lake system. 

The study has the aim to describe the lake ecosystem, that is generally not well known, and suggest vegetation containment activities in some lake areas in order to maintain acceptable levels of balneability in open waters. The macrophytes containment and elimination techniques will be defined by the study and collaboration with APPA (provincial institution for the preservation of the environment), with the help of universities and research institutes.
